Rooftop Restaurants In Dubai With Nightlife Vibes

Rooftop Restaurants In Dubai With Nightlife Vibes

I went to Dubai last year. I wanted to eat dinner up high. I also wanted to stay out after. Most places make you leave after food. That is annoying. So I looked for something else. A place where you eat. Then the music changes. Then you are still there. Then you dance. That is hard to find. But I found some. Let me tell you about them.

What I Mean By Nightlife Vibes?

What I Mean By Nightlife Vibes

Some people say nightlife vibes. What does that mean exactly. It means you sit down at 8 pm for food. The lights are normal. The music is low. You order lamb chops or salmon. Then it hits 10 pm. The lights go red or blue. A man with headphones starts playing music louder. People get up from their chairs. They stand near the railing. They move their hips. That is nightlife vibes. The restaurant becomes a party room. You do not leave. You just stay.

The First One I Tried

I went to a place on Palm Jumeirah. High floor. Like 50th floor high. The name is Aura. You sit outside. You see water everywhere. The food came fast. I ordered grilled fish and cold rice. My friend got a salad. At 8 pm the sun went down. The sky turned orange then black. Then the lights turned pink. A DJ started. Not loud loud. Just loud enough. By 10 pm people were not eating anymore. They were holding drinks. Standing by the pool edge. Moving slow to the music. I stayed until 1 am. That place worked because I did nothing. No moving tables. No going downstairs. No paying cover at a club. Just sat there and the party came to me.

Another Good One

Burj Al Arab. The sail building. Inside that. 27th floor. Name is Skyview Bar. This one is expensive. Very expensive. A steak costs as much as a cheap flight. But you pay for the gold everywhere. The crowd here is old money. Men in suits. Women in shiny dresses. No shorts. No sports shoes. They check your clothes at the door. At first a man played piano. Soft music. You eat your food slow. You talk quiet. Then 10 pm came. The piano stopped. A DJ started playing house music. The lights dimmed. The same old people started moving. Not crazy dance. Just head nodding and shoulder moving. I liked this place because it felt secret. Like a rich person party where they let me in.

The Loud One

Iris in Meydan is different. You are not on the beach here. You look at a race track. The buildings are far. The food here is Asian. Small rolls. Dumplings. Spicy noodles. You share everything. The music at Iris is not quiet house music. It is pop songs. Songs you hear on the radio. So people sing. They shout the words. They spill a little drink. By 11 pm the whole rooftop is loud. Girls stand on chairs. Guys take off their jackets. The dance floor is small but packed. Iris is for younger people. Twenty something and early thirty. If you are older than forty you might feel out of rooftop restaurants in dubai with nightlife vibes.

The Fancy Party One

Penthouse Lounge at Five Palm Jumeirah. That hotel is a party hotel. Everyone knows that. The rooftop is on 16th floor. You look down at the beach. You see the water and the sand. The food here is Spanish. Small plates. Patatas bravas. Grilled octopus. A very good steak. At 9 pm it is dinner time. People sit and eat. At 11 pm the tables move. The staff pulls them to the side. The DJ turns the volume up high. Latin music. Club music. Bass you feel in your chest. I saw a group of ten people. They ordered a bottle with sparklers. The bottle cost more than my rent. But they were happy. They danced around the table. This place is not for a quiet date. This place is for a loud night with friends.

The Small One

Coya rooftop. Peruvian food. The indoor part is always full. But the rooftop is small. Maybe ten tables. You sit close to strangers. That sounds bad. But it is actually good. You talk to them. You ask what they ordered. You share a sauce. The food is ceviche. Raw fish in lemon juice. Spicy corn. Grilled meat on sticks. Everything comes on small plates. You do not get your own dish. You share everything. At 10 pm the lights go low. The music turns to Latin beats. People start dancing near the bar. The bar is small. So you bump into each other. But that is fine. Coya is good for two people. A couple. You start with a nice dinner. You end with dancing close. No need to go anywhere else.

The One With The Fountain

The One With The Fountain

The Penthouse at The Address Fountain Views. Different from the other Penthouse. This one looks at Burj Khalifa. Every thirty minutes the fountain below shoots water up. Very high. The water moves to music. You hear the music from your table. You see the lights on the water. The food here is European. Truffle pasta. Creamy sauce. A chocolate cake at the end that is warm inside. The party here is not wild. It is cool. The DJ plays deep house. Not loud loud. People dance but not crazy. They move slow. They hold their drinks. This is good for people who want nightlife but not a headache the next morning.

The Cheap One

SoBe at W Dubai The Palm. Cheap for Dubai. Not cheap for normal people. But cheaper than the others. The design is pink and green. Palm trees in pots. A small pool that glows at night. The food is American. Burgers. Tacos. Fried chicken. Big salads. You get a lot of food. The DJ starts at 9 pm. By 11 pm people are dancing on the daybeds. Yes on the beds. They take off their shoes. They jump a little. The dress code here is easy. Nice jeans. Clean shirt. No jacket needed. SoBe is for people who want to party but do not want to spend 500 dirhams on a steak.

How To Pick?

  • If you have money pick Skyview Bar.
  • If you want loud pop music pick Iris.
  • If you want Latin music pick Penthouse Lounge.
  • If you are on a date pick Coya.
  • If you want cheap pick SoBe.

Things You Must Do

Book a table. Do not walk in. They will say no. Check the minimum spend. Many places say you must spend 200 or 300 dirhams per person. If you spend less they still charge you that amount. Dress right. Men no shorts. No sandals. Women wear nice dress or nice pants. Some places want a jacket for men. Come at 8 pm if you want dinner. Come at 10 pm if you only want drinks and party. Do not drive after drinking. Take a taxi. Use Uber. A taxi across the city costs 40 to 80 dirhams. Cheaper than a fine.

What Time To Go?

  • Food stops at 10 or 11 pm at most places. After that only drinks.
  • Party is best from 11 pm to 1 am. After 1 am people go home.
  • Thursday night is the busiest. Friday and Saturday are also busy. rooftop restaurants in dubai with nightlife vibes.

Conclusion

Dubai has many rooftops. But not many have nightlife vibes. The ones I told you about are the real ones. You eat. You watch the sun go down. The music changes. You stay. You dance. You go home late. One table. One night. No moving to a second place. Pick one. Book it. Go have fun.
